For furnishing all necessary Labor, materials, tools, and equipment to provide window cleaning services (i.e. the use of scaffolding, rooftop rigging, muti-story lifts) at the locations and frequency as required by various City Departments, in accordance with the specifications detailed herein, from time to time during the period of the contract. Prior to submitting a bid, prospective bidders must visit the premises, become familiar with existing conditions, and correlate observations with the requirements stated herein. The bidder should take their own measurements and be responsible for them. The bidder is responsible for their own assessment. No plea of ignorance of conditions that exist or difficulties that may be encountered as a result of failure to inspect the premises will be accepted as an excuse not to fulfill in every detail the requirements of the work. The service/material shall be delivered as ordered during the period beginning on the effective date and ending twelve months after the effective date. OPTIONAL RENEWAL PERIOD(S) At the sole discretion of the City the contract may be renewed for two (2) additional (12) twelvemonth periods. These options shall be automatically exercised unless written notice to the contrary is filed with either party not later than ninety days prior to the expiration of the current contract period. Such notice shall be provided in writing to the Office of Procurement. It is understood and agreed that the contract may be renewed only under the same conditions governing the original contract. The City reserves the right to waive informalities not inconsistent with law or to reject any or all bids.
