The project consists of construction of railbed, bridge, and drainage improvements to support realignment of existing track and a new gauntlet track, improvements to existing culverts, site grading improvements, and construction of retaining walls. In addition, there will be construction to demolish existing Asnuntuck St Bridge and fill the arch structure.
