Site work and paving for a civil project in Enfield, Connecticut. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.

Interested firms are to review attached Letter of Interest (LOI) documents and respond accordingly. Amtrak is accepting Letters of Interest for civil, site, and bridge construction improvements to support railroad operations at a new railroad station on the Springfield Line in Enfield, CT. Responses are to include qualification information requested/stated below and be limited to twenty (20) one-sided typed pages. Amtrak, at its sole discretion and without discussion, will determine which Contractors are to be added to its short list for the forthcoming Request for Proposal. Amtrak, at its sole discretion and without discussion, will determine which firms are to be added to its list of Firms for request of solicitation for this project. This project involves construction activities for the Enfield Railroad Station Improvements extending from mile post (MP) 53.7 to MP 54.4 of the Springfield Line in Enfield, CT. The proposed activity will take place within and immediately adjacent to the New Haven to Springfield railroad corridor right-of-way. The project consists of construction of railbed, bridge, and drainage improvements to support realignment of existing track and a new gauntlet track, improvements to existing culverts, site grading improvements, and construction of retaining walls. In addition, there will be construction to demolish existing Asnuntuck St Bridge and fill the arch structure.
