The Work of this Contract includes the removal and disposal of existing millwork and carpet along with the installation of new millwork cabinetry for breakrooms, offices and back-ofhouse locations throughout the Arrivals and Concourse Levels within Terminal D. Construction will be inside the Airport's Air Operations Area (AOA) and the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) areas at Terminal D. The Contractor shall be responsible for reviewing all existing conditions associated with the work prior to commencement of work activities. The project also involves replacing existing finishes, countertops and sinks within the identified breakroom, office, and back-of-house areas. These new installations will feature modern, high-quality materials that not only enhance the visual appeal of the spaces but also improve usability and hygiene standards. As part of the upgrades, all associated plumbing fixtures in the breakrooms, offices and identified countertops will be replaced. This includes installing new faucets, drains, and any other necessary plumbing components to ensure the areas are fully functional and compliant with current DFW standards. Lastly, the work includes renovation of the existing luggage storage lockers near baggage claim D30. The existing lockers will have their doors removed, discarded, and replaced with new doors to match existing and their interiors refurbished. This will be a Lump Sum contract. Total Contract Duration 240 calendar days (Substantial Completion of 180 days with an additional 60 consecutive calendar days for Final Completion). Cone of Silence - To ensure a proper and fair evaluation, the DFW International Airport has established a cone of silence applicable to all Competitive Selection Processes, including RFQs, RFPs and RFBs. The cone of silence is designed to protect the integrity of the procurement process by shielding it from undue influences. The cone of silence will be imposed on all Competitive Selection Processes beginning with advertisement for the same and ending with the Board's selection for RFQs, RFPs or the Board's award for a RFB. The Cone of Silence begins when the solicitation is advertised/released and ends after the contract/purchase order is awarded, noting that release of some information is restricted by law. Potential bidders/proposers shall not discuss any aspect of a released solicitation with Airport personnel with exception to the contract administrator/ buyer listed in the solicitation.
