** As of June 09, 2025, project was awarded to Town and Country, awarded amount is $150,000 ** ous streets throughout the townand concrete sidewalk alongBurke Street. Work may consist of milling,cleaning, tack coat, surface andbinder courses through thetown. Interested contractorsshould obtain a bidding packetfrom the project engineer. Contact information is included below. The work to be performed andthe proposal to be submittedshall include sufficient and proper sums for all general construction, mechanical installation,labor, materials, permits, licenses, insurance, and so forthincidental to and required for theconstruction of the facilities. No bid will be considered unless submitted on the printedProposal Form found in theproject manual. No bid may bewithdrawn after the scheduledclosing time for receipt of bidsfor at least 90 days to allow review of proposals before announcing award of contract. Each proposal shall be accompanied by a bid guaranty conforming to the Indiana Revisedcode. Said bid guaranty shall bea certified check in an amountequal to five percent (5%) of theBID; or, a bond for five percent(5%) of the BID as surety for theexecution of the contract. Thebid bond or certified checkshould be made out to theOWNER. The bid bond form isincluded in the bidding documents. Should any BID be rejected, such certified check or bondshall be forthwith returned to theBIDDER, and should any BID beaccepted, such certified checkor bond will be returned uponthe proper execution and securing of the contract. The contractor to whom thework is awarded will be requiredto furnish, before commencingwork, a performance, maintenance and payment bond in anamount equal to the bid price ofthe contract awarded to saidcontractor, and certificates of allinsurance required in the specifications. All bonds and liability insurance shall remain in effect for a period of twelve (12)months following completionand acceptance of construction.The award of the contract issubject to all approvals requiredby local and federal agencies.Upon securing of all approvals,the successful bidder shall receive a "Notice to Proceed" withconstruction and said contractorshall begin construction withinten (10) days of receipt of suchnotice, and shall complete theproject pursuant to the contractdocuments. When the contract is executed,the certified check or bid bond ofall unsuccessful BIDDERS willbe returned. Each bidder is responsible forinspecting the Project Site(s)and for reading and being thoroughly familiar with the ContractDocuments and Specifications.The failure or omission of anyBidder to do any of the foregoing shall in no way relieve anyBidder from any obligation withrespect to the Bid. A conditional or qualified Bid willnot be accepted.
