The work includes the replacement of approximately 100 lead water services throughout the City. The scope of work includes replacement of the lead services, installation of new copper tubing and appurtenances on both public and private property, and the complete restoration of public and private property to pre-construction conditions. The Work shall be initiated on or around May 15, 2025. The work shall be substantially completed within 120 calendar days from the commencement of the contract time and completed and ready for final payment 150 calendar days from the commencement of the contract time. Questions will be accepted until Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at 4:00 p.m. Each Bid shall be accompanied by a Bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total value of the Bid in the form of a Bid bond or certified/treasurer's check. The bidding and award of this Contract shall be in full compliance with Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 30, Section 39M, as last revised, all Federal, , State and City of Quincy regulations, when applicable in relation to Minority Business Enterprise, Women's Business Enterprise, Minority Work Force, Equal Employment Opportunity, and subject to the minimum wage rates set under the Massachusetts Prevailing Wage Law Chapter 149, 26 to 27H and/or any applicable federal rates. The City reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any or all Bids when such an action is deemed in the best interests of the City.
