Site work, paving, new construction and renovation of a mixed-use development in Princeton, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the construction of a educational facility; for the renovation of a 6,900-square-foot educational facility; for site work for a educational facility; for paving for a educational facility; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

The project is generally described as follows: The project consists of the historically sensitive repair of the exterior and the interior of the Old Princeton Graded School (approximately 6,900 SF). New accessible toilet rooms will be constructed in the area of existing toilet rooms and an accessible ramp will be constructed to provide access to the building and the new toilet rooms. The existing breezeway to the south will be enclosed to accommodate the accessible ramp. Existing plumbing, mechanical and electrical systems will be repaired and/or replaced. Formal bidding rules apply for this project. The Owner reserves the right to evaluate bids, and to reject any, and all bids for "sound documented reasons." Contractors offering a proposal on this project must be licensed to do the specified type of contracting in the State of North Carolina. Proposed substitutions must be approved in a formal addendum to be accepted. Proposed substitutions must be approved in a formal addendum to be accepted. The contracted project is funded through the Emergency Supplemental Historic Preservation Fund Grant Program funds received by the State Historic Preservation Office and administered by the National Park Service. All grant activities must comply with all relevant federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and ordinances. In addition, grant activities will be supervised by the State Historic Preservation Office and must meet the Secretary of Interior's Standards and Guidelines for Archeology and Historic Preservation. Bidder is required to provide past experience of three (3) past similar projects over the past five (5) years - to include the client's name and contact information for each project. Consideration will be given to such matters as contractor integrity, compliance with public policy, record of past performance, financial and technical resources, and Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) status. Each proposal shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the total of the itemized bid in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders.
