Reference Number 0000290525 Question Acceptance Deadline 2025/04/16 01:00:00 PM EDT This Contract is for the St. Joseph Catholic Elementary School AODA and Cladding Upgrades Upgrades at the existing St. Joseph Catholic Elementary School located at 8 Paul Street in Killarney, generally consisting of the construction of a new Universal Washroom, interior finish upgrades, installation of automatic door operators, AODA site upgrades, and upgrades to the existing masonry veneer at the Gymnasium walls. 2.1.1 Work of this Contract includes furnishing labour, materials, equipment, services and other related expenses to execute complete construction, alterations and remedial work scheduled for the facilities specified under the Contract Documents. All work is required to be carried out in accordance with the requirements of the Ministry of Labour, Occupational Health and Safety Act, and other authorities having jurisdiction. 2.1.2 In accepting award of this Contract, Contractor hereby reaffirms that it is fully informed regarding all conditions affecting Work including its company's provincial taxes are in good standing and further accepts to complete Work for purpose intended in accordance with Contract Documents. The Contractor hereby reaffirms. that it does not and will not have any conflict of interest in executing work of this Contract. 2.1.3.1 The scope of the washroom upgrades Work at the existing campus generally includes, but is not necessarily limited to, the following: 1 localized sequential demolition, removals and alterations to existing building, as indicated on drawings and/or specified, and to carry out alterations / renovations to upgrade the existing washroom / change room, Principal's Office, and Staff Work Room areas; 2 removal / modification and replacement of existing suspended acousital tile ceilings as scheduled, including localized asbestos abatement, as required, to suit; 3 new interior finishes as scheduled, including but not limited to; new masonry partitions, suspended acoustic ceiling system, including suspended plastic laminate ceiling panels, vinyl tile flooring and base, carpet, paint finishes, and washroom accessories, as detailed and/or scheduled, as well as localized patching and restoration of existing terrazzo, as required, to suit; 4 installation of new doors, frames and hardware, including new automatic door operators, as scheduled; 5 Localized stabilization / reinforcement of existing exterior ribbed concrete block veneer in existing exterior wall construction at Gymnasium; 6 modifications and upgrades to existing site finishes (i.e. excavation, placement and compacation of new granular materials, portion of new concrete sidewalk, new asphalt paving, line painting, and site restoration) 7 modifications and upgrades to existing mechanical services, as required, to suit scope of interior renovations, including installation of new plumbing fixtures; and 8 modifications to existing electrical services, as required, to suit scope of interior renovations, including provision of new light fixtures as scheduled. The Bid Bond shall be from a surety company licensed to carry on the business of suretyship in the Province of Ontario and be in the amount of 10% of the Contract Price. General liability insurance shall be with limits not less $10,000,000 per occurrence.
