Build Nova Scotia is seeking a qualified firm to develop a delivery model strategy regarding the Central Zone Healthcare Redevelopment projects. The project will focus on the Dartmouth General Hospital (DGH) and the Nova Scotia Hospital Mental Health and Addiction Campus (MHAC) located in Dartmouth. The goal of the project is to upgrade and expand or replace facilities to meet demand based on population growth and aging, to reduce wait times for care and bring services closer to home. Master Plan reports for DGH and MHAC have been completed by NSH. The master plan reports identify the infrastructure investments that are recommended to meet the clinical demand for the next 25 years. These Facility Development Plans focus on the infrastructure investments that are recommended to meet the clinical demand for the next fifteen (15) years and describe the scope of Phase 1 for each Master Plan. The goal of this RFP for the Central Zone Healthcare Redevelopment will focus on the development of a delivery model strategy for the DGH and the MHAC. Future state of the Dartmouth General Hospital (DGH): Included in the More, Faster: Action for Health Build, DGH is planned to include additional inpatient beds, a new emergency department, additional capacity for surgeries, and clinical support services to meet the increase in clinical services planned to be provided at DGH. The DGH Master Plan report, including a Class D estimate of the Facility Development Plan will be provided to the successful Proponent upon award. Future state of the Nova Scotia Hospital Mental Health and Addiction Campus (MHAC): MHAC is planned to expand its current service offering, including the expansion of acute and specialty mental health and addictions inpatient beds, specialty outpatient clinics, and clinical support services to meet the increase in clinical services planned to be provided at MHAC. The MHAC Master Plan report, including a Class D estimate of the Facility Development Plan will be provided to the successful Proponent upon award.
