Project Description: The Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Southwest (SW) Facility Engineering Acquisition Division (FEAD) Yuma has a project to replace existing failing and inefficient florescent lighting in hangar bays for hangars 103, 109, 220 and 227 at Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Yuma, AZ. Poor task lighting is causing maintenance on aircrafts to take longer due to technicians needing to use flashlights even during the daytime. New LED lighting, providing more lumens and more footcandles as required per UFC, will provide aircraft technicians a safer and more efficient work environment. Additional work for this project includes replacing the existing emergency lighting and controls as required to be in compliance with most current UFC applicable codes.
