The project is situated in Beaufort county, South Carolina and involves the intersection of S.C. 116 (Laurel Bay Rd.) and U.S. Route 21. The approximate length is 0.504 miles. Major work items include: A. Clearing & grubbing of project area. B. Construction of right turn lane on SC 116/ Laurel Bay Road. C. Removal of existing asphalt ramp from S.C. 116 to U.S. 21. D. Modification of existing traffic signal. E. Pavement Markings, Signing, and Traffic Control Question Submission Deadline:April 22, 2025, 5:00pm It is the policy of the County Council of Beaufort County, South Carolina, hereafter referred to as "Beaufort County" or "the County", to comply with Title VI of the 1964 Civil Rights Act (Title VI) and its related statutes. County permits shall be required as applicable, but the fee shall be waived. This waiver shall apply to the Beaufort County permit fee only and not to any "City or Town" permit fee and/or licenses, when applicable. Bidders must comply with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Anti-Kickback Act, the Contract Work Hour Standard Act, and the National Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970. Bidders must certify that they do not and will not maintain or provide for their employees any facilities, which are segregated on the basis of race, color, creed, or national origin. The Beaufort County Council reserves the right to reject all Bids and waive any formalities. Any claims for cost incurred by any bidders in preparation of any part of, or total package for this project will not be handled for reimbursement by Beaufort County or their representatives.
