The existing lightning protection system includes four air terminal masts that have been damaged by wind. The project involves replacing these damaged masts with new ones. The new air terminals will be reconnected to the existing lightning protection system using appropriate and compliant connection methods Installation of Lightning Protection System shall comply with the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 780, UFC 3-575-01, AFMAN 32-1065, LPI 175, UL 96A and PSFB Design Guide. The contractor shall replace the air terminals with new ones of the same size and material to maintain uniformity and compatibility with the existing lightning protection systems. The contractor shall test and record the continuity and ground resistance readings for each replaced terminal after installation. The recorded results shall be submitted as a deliverable before final inspection. Additionally, the contractor shall provide a certificate of calibration for all electrical equipment used during this process at the final inspection. The contractor shall secure a third-party LPS inspector to inspect and provide written certification of the Lightning Protection System (LPS) in compliance with UFC 3-575-01, Section 4-5 - Certification Statement.
