Description of Project: The Proposed Improvement is Officially Known as: Grand & Condit Stormwater Pump Station Electrical Improvements City Project 2025- 15 the Proposed Project Herein Specified and Described Includes the Following Work: The Project Includes the Removal and Replacement of Electrical, Controls and Hvac Equipment for the Condit and Grand Stormwater Pump Station. The Condit Station Will Reuse the Existing Electrical Service, and Grand Station Will Replace the Electrical Service. The Work Shall Keep the Stations Inservice While the Work is Completed. The Council of the City of Decatur, Illinois, Reserves the Right to Accept, Renegotiate or Reject Any or All Proposals and to Waive Any Variance From the Requirements of the Instructions for Bidders. Proposals Must Be Accompanied by a Bank Draft, Cashier's Check, or Certified Check Made Payable to Treasurer, Decatur, Illinois, in the Amount of Ten Percent (10%) of the Bid or Bid Bond in the Same Amount. 7. The Contractor Shall at All Times During the Term of This Contract Pay the Applicable Prevailing Wage for Macon County for the Month During Which the Work is Performed, as Determined by the Illinois Department of Labor. 8. Before the Contractor and Any Subcontractor Commences Work, the Contractor and Any Subcontractor Shall Have in Place a Written Substance Abuse Prevention Program for the Prevention of Substance Abuse Among Its Employees Which Meets or Exceeds the Requirements in P. A. 95-0635 or Shall Have a Collective Bargaining Agreement in Effect Dealing With the Subject Matter of P. A. 95- 0635. The Following Minority Participation Goals for Public Works Contracts Are in Effect for This Contract. (1) Ten (10) Percent (%) of the Total Dollar Amount of the Contract Should Be Performed by Minority Business Enterprises if Subcontracting Opportunities Are Available and/or Ten (10) Percent (%) of the Total Dollar Amount of the Contract Should Be for the Purchase of Goods, Material and Equipment to Minority Business Enterprises. (2) Eighteen (18) Percent (%) of the Total Hours Worked Should Be Performed by Minority Workers. All Contractors Shall Provide Evidence of Meeting the City's Minority Participation Goals Prior to the Award of This Project and Prior to All Payments Made for Work Completed or Provide the City of Decatur Documentation on Their Good Faith Efforts to Comply With the Participation Goals. Question Deadline 10/03/2025 Every request for such interpretation should be in writing emailed to capitalprojects@decaturil.gov and to be given consideration must be received at least five (5) days prior to the date fixed for the opening of bids
