Site work and paving for a road / highway in Tabernacle, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The Project generally includes: roadway and miscellaneous related improvements to Hawkin Road from Route 206 to Worrell Road in the Township of Tabernacle, Burlington County, New Jersey complete in every detail as shown or specified, for the prices bid in the Proposal. Each bid must be accompanied by (i) all documents listed on the Bid Document Submission Checklist, as applicable, and (ii) a bid guarantee in an amount not less than Ten Percent (10%) of the total bid price as established in the Bid, not to exceed Twenty Thousand Dollars and Zero Cents ($20,000.00). NJDOT FY 2024 Municipal Aid The bid guarantee must be in the form of a bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check, must be drawn to the order of Township of Tabernacle and must be delivered simultaneously with the sealed bid. Bids must be made on the standard Bid form contained within the drawings, specifications, and contract documents, in the manner designated therein and required by the specifications. Further, bids must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder and the Project title on the outside and addressed to: Tabernacle Township. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5- 31 et seq., N.J.A.C.17:27, and all other applicable laws referenced within the drawings, specifications and contract documents. This project is being partially funded by an NJDOT grant. The Township of Tabernacle reserves the right to (i) reject all bids pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-13.2 and (ii) to waive minor informalities and/or non-material exceptions in any bid should it be in the interest of the Township of Tabernacle to do so. Further, the Township of Tabernacle shall reject any bid that contains material nonconformities or conditions, or which is materially nonresponsive. In the event the Township of Tabernacle does not reject all bids as permitted under N.J.S.A. 40A:11-13.2, in accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A:11-4, and other applicable laws, the Project will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder. Checks should be made payable to Environmental Resolutions Inc. The payment for such documents is non-refundable. If the bidder requires the documents to be mailed to them, there is an additional Twenty Dollars and Zero Cents ($20.00) fee for postage. The work for this project consists of the following items: 1. Display NJDOT EEO and Labor Notice Posters on site. 2. Excavating the existing cartway, grading and compacting. 3. Performing roadway base repairs as directed by The Engineer. 4. Installing 3" HMA 19M64 base course. 5. Installing 2" HMA 9.5M64 surface course. 6. Installing 4" & 24" wide line striping, symbols, and rumble strips. D. Work contained in the Contract shall include, but not be limited to, the following items: C-l The above description of work outlines the general items and distribution of work, and should not be construed as being all-inclusive. IN GENERAL, this project consists of the items of work described below, complete as specified within these Contract Documents entitled "Hawkin Road Resurfacing" prepared by Pennoni Associates Inc. Providing all necessary traffic directors and traffic control in accordance with the MUTCD. Tabernacle Police Department must be contacted for any closure. Resetting castings to proper grade as needed to complete the improvements shown on the plans. Note: Echelon paving is required for surface course paving performed after October 31 or if ambient temperatures are below 40 degrees Fahrenheit. Prior to beginning construction the Contractor shall have arranged for the videoing by a professional commercial photographer, of the existing site condition and adjacent public and private improvements. Two copies of the video shall be provided to the Owner prior to the start of construction. No separate payment shall be made for videotaping but the cost thereof shall be included in the unit prices bid for the various items listed in the bid proposal form. Restoring disturbed vegetated/lawn areas. As a minimum, all lawns shall be restored with topsoil, fertilizer, seed, and mulch. Other materials shall be restored in-kind. 1 Any explanation desired by bidders regarding the meaning or interpretation of the drawings and specifications must be requested to the Engineer in writing and with sufficient time allowed for a reply to reach them before the submission of their bids. Verbal explanations or instructions given before the award of the contract will not be binding. Any interpretation which may result in a substantial change in the Plans and/or Specifications and may have an effect on the prices bid therefore will be issued in the form of an addendum to all bidders, and its receipt by the bidder shall be acknowledged.
