Renovation of a municipal facility in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The Cherokee Nation is accepting bids from interested parties for the complete work of exterior painting to the Gaming Commission Building, 200 Water St., Tahlequah, OK 74464 (Cherokee County). Please contact David Justice at 918-316-3741 or Ricky Jones at 918-207-8071. The scope of work and specifications are included in this bid packet. Question Deadline 04/11/2025 at 5:00 PM CT All questions or requests for interpretation of the bid must be submitted in written format to Cherokee Nation Acquisition Management. Requests maybe e-mailed to michelle-parsons@,cherokee.org. Requests may also be faxed to (918) 458-4493 or (918) 458-7695, Attention: Michelle Parsons. Indian Preference applies to all Cherokee Nation requests for bids or proposals. To receive preference, bidder must be TERO certified through the Cherokee Nation Tribal Employment Rights Office; proof of certification must accompany submittals. Successful bidder will be obligated to comply with Tribal rules and regulations and TERO. Approximate Sq. footage of Building: 3,600 ft Bidder is responsible for the following: Protect all existing finishes and openings prior to beginning work. No painting on Native stone on exterior of building. Contractor shall take all precautions to protect Owner employees and property, guests and guest property and all adjacent surfaces from damage. Contractor shall be liable for any damage to same. Clean all exterior of building, including scraping of old chipped painted areas to ensure the primer paint will adhere. Also removing bird nests and power wash using low pressure cleaning on all surfaces to be primed and painted. Remove any old caulking & replace with new caulk. Re-caulk openings and around all lights attached to the exterior of building with matching caulk. Also caulk windows if needed. Repair any stucco as needed. Ensure any streaking onto adjacent surfaces is thoroughly cleaned. Mandatory site meeting with David Justice, Facilities Management Director and/or Ricky Jones, Building/Grounds Maintenance Manager
