The City of Cape Coral will receive bids for Local Roads Resurfacing FY 2025, BPW2584JA. Question Deadline 04/18/2025 at 2:00 PM ET All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents shall be submitted via the Electronic Procurement (E-Procurement) platform by the date and time stated in the Events Tab of the E-Procurement. Questions shall be submitted through the Questions Tab and selecting Add Question The Contractor is to furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and operations necessary to complete the following work for select structural repairs and resurfacing of selected Local roadways throughout various locations in Cape Coral (see Exhibit A, Local Roads Resurfacing FY 25 Map). In addition to other items, as outlined in the specifications and bid documents, the asphalt concrete paving operations may consist, but shall not necessarily be limited to all or part of the following: o All maintenance of traffic. o Notification to public safety departments and affected Citizens, up to including coordination with the City's Communications Department and door hangars if necessary, of work within the right-of-way that would result in detours of emergency vehicles or interruptions of daily activities. o Clipping and herbicide as necessary for paving preparation. o Scraping material from the edge of the road to establish an even pavement edge and provide drainage from the roadway surface to the adjacent swale drainage system. o Milling of the existing roadway surface. o Leveling or grading of the existing roadway surface. o Adjustment and/or repair of existing utilities. o Delivery of material to the job site (hauling). o Application of prime and/or tack coat(s). o Roadway Structural Repairs. o Superpave Type SP-9.5 Asphalt Overlay. o Replacement of all existing Striping, Markings, and RPMs. o Street sweeping, as necessary, & final clean-up of the job site and repair of any damage caused by contract activities. o Sod (re)placement Please note: Sections 28 (Pursuit of Work) and 34 (Mandatory Pre-Construction Meeting) should be read closely. The City will be reinforcing the new schedule parameters. It is important that the contractor expeditiously perform this contract.
