The Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) is seeking proposals to install a new fire alarm system complete with fire alarm control panels, annunciators, smoke detectors, duct detectors, relays horn/strobes, conduit boxes, wire and other electrical components required to comply with the NFPA Life Safety Codes in multiple buildings at the Vance Unit in Richmond, Texas. The Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) is Requesting Proposals to Install Fire Alarm System in Inmate Housing at the Vance Unit located in Richmond, Texas. The TDCJ is seeking proposals to install a new Owner furnished transformer as a backup to a current in-service transformer in the Substation at the Beto Unit in Tennessee Colony, Texas, as shown by the construction plans as prepared by Parkhill, Smith & Cooper, Inc./ TDCJ. Respondent shall refer to Specifications and submit all required qualifications and licensing required within. Specifications and Drawings will be furnished with the Solicitation documents. Respondent is required to submit a HUB Subcontracting Plan as detailed in Exhibit 1. Failure to submit a completed HUB Subcontracting Plan will result in the proposal being rejected from further consideration. Respondent must be bondable and insurable at the levels required. Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of 100% of the contract amount will be required upon award of a contract. The TDCJ reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, and to waive any informality or irregularity. It is the TDCJ's intent to issue the Notice to Proceed at the Pre-Construction Meeting with the performance period to begin upon issuance.
