Renovation of a power facility in Campbell River, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a power facility.
This RFP is for a contract that generally includes design, fabrication, delivery, testing and commissioning TIV pump(s) unloader valve and the TIV oil pump safety relief valves (PRVs) at Ladore Generating Station (LDR) located approx. 11 kilometers west of Campbell River, BC. The Contractor shall be responsible for all testing after welding, including hydrostatic pressure testing and non-destructive testing (NDT) of welds in the shop prior to shipment. For any field welds required for final connection piping, the BC Hydro shall supply qualified welders. The Contractor will be responsible for arranging for NDT in coordination with BC Hydro. The contractor will provide informal training to the BC Hydro crew regarding operation of the equipment during testing and commissioning. It’s expected the Contractor will take on either a lead or participatory role in testing and commissioning at Ladore. The exact distribution of duties will be clarified prior to award.
