A timeline for award has not yet been established.** The deadline to ask questions is 4/18/2025 5:00 PM CST All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents are to be directed to the Engineer. Questions must be received six (6) days prior to the date of opening Bids no exceptions. Provide a construction schedule to facilitate scheduling of work to be performed by the OWNER and others. The CONTRACTOR will be required to submit for the ENGINEERs approval, a construction sequence of the phased installation for the proposed work. The OWNER shall reserve the right to make adjustments to the construction sequence to limit the number of service interruptions. Provide bypass pumping and sewer flow control during the pipe bursting and manhole replacement operations, as necessary. The project includes the rehabilitation of existing sanitary sewer lines by pipe bursting approximately 15,500 L.F. of existing six inch or eight inch sanitary sewer mains to eight inch (8.625 OD), 1100 L.F. of existing eight inch sanitary sewer main to ten inch (10.75 OD), 375 L.F. of existing ten inch sanitary sewer main to ten inch (10.75 OD), 525 L.F. of existing twelve inch sanitary sewer main to twelve inch (12.75 OD), and 375 L.F. of existing twenty-four inch sanitary sewer mains to twenty-eight inch (28 OD) High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) pipe, as well as related manholes and service connections. Tie-in the replacement sewer mains at existing laterals and manholes, including replacement or installation of 71 manholes. All manholes to be replaced/installed shall be confirmed after review of the cleaned and televised existing sewer lines and manholes. All tie-in methods shall be in accordance with the Contract documents. Replace service connections on rehabilitated sanitary sewer mains. Existing service lines will be replaced completely to the property lines, with cleanouts and cleanout boxes installed at property lines. All tie-in methods shall be in accordance with the Contract documents. Perform required testing of the rehabilitated main and appurtenances, as required. Deflection testing will not be required on all sections. However, the OWNER shall reserve the right to require deflection testing of any sections of line deemed necessary, at no additional cost to the OWNER. Drainage Maintain drainage within the project area at least equal to existing conditions. Restore the site to its pre-construction condition or better. Bidders must submit an original Bid Bond, Cashier's Check, Certified Check or irrevocable Letter of Credit issued by a bank satisfactory to the Owner, payable without recourse to the order of the City of Beaumont in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the largest possible bid amount as a guaranty that the Bidder will enter into contract and execute bond and guaranty in the form provided within fourteen (14) calendar days after date of Notice of Award of the contract. Bids without the required financial security deposit will not be considered.
