Reference Number 0000382414 This is a Public Works project which consists of improvements at the existing Canyon Booster Pump Station site including, but not limited to: demolition of existing retaining wall, demolition of electrical equipment, pump assembly - motor, pump, can, removal and replacement of piping, new vertical turbine pumps and cans, valves, electrical improvements, CIDH piles and retaining wall, thrust blocks, miscellaneous water improvements, pressure testing, flushing and disinfection, bacteriological testing, installation of asphalt paving, and other incidental and appurtenant work necessary for the proper construction of the contemplated improvement, as indicated on the project plans. Questions may be sent via electronic mail to the attention of the Interim City Engineer Robert Woodwad, PE, engineer@spcity.org Questions submitted after this time shall not be responded to. Contract time for completion of the Work shown in the Bidding Documents is 120 Working Days. Once the work is started, it must be continuously performed until completion. Liquidated Damages Liquidated damages for avoidable delays shall be $500.00 per consecutive day in excess of the Contract Time for the completion of the Work. - Performance Bond 100 % - Labor and Materials Bond 100 % The Successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Total Bid Price, and a Payment (Material and Labor) Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Total Bid Price, on the forms provided and, in the manner, described in the Bid Documents. The Bid Bond will be forfeited should the bidder to whom the Contract is awarded fail to enter into the Contract and provide the required Performance and Payment Bonds and Certificate(s) of Insurance within ten (10) calendar days after the date of receipt of Notice of Award of the Contract pursuant to the terms of said Bid Bond.
