Whiting-Turner will be performing this project as the Construction Manager At-Risk. Located at 301 N. Division St, Fruitland, MD 21826, this project consists of the construction of a new 106,000 SF+/- single story high performance, Net-Zero Ready primary school behind the existing +/- 61,000 SF school. There are three (3) major phases with interim milestones. Work will proceed in June 2025. Building & Bus Loop Substantial Completion June 2027. Demolition of existing school and construction of Staff/Visitor Parking will be from June 2027 to November 2027. Final sitework completion may extend to January 2028 Whiting-Turner will be performing this project as the Construction Manager At-Risk. A Bid Bond in the amount of 10% of bid is required with any bid submission over $100,000. Include costs for Payment and Performance bonds with any bid submission over $100,000. All successful contractors will be required to execute a WT Subcontract (no changes) and submit a certificate of insurance meeting Whiting-Turner’s insurance requirements. An excess liability policy of $2,000,000 will be mandatory for all trades. All contractors are subject to state-mandated prevailing wage rates and apprenticeship training fund requirements for Wicomico County. This project is NOT tax exempt. A Maryland Business License is required for all Subcontractors
