Asphalt Resurfacing Between Milepost 322.22 and Milepost 324.25 in Chester County, Pennsylvania This project provides for the resurfacing of the Turnpike Travel lanes in both directions. The project also provides maintenance and protection of traffic, SNAPS, median delineation, and permanent pavement markings. Work items include, but are not limited to: 6,152 TON Superpave Asphalt Mixture Design, Wearing Course 12,332 TON Superpave Asphalt Mixture Design, Binder Course 71,545 SY Milling of Asphalt Pavement Surface, Variable Depth 123,180 LF Temporary Pavement Markings 51,759 LF Permanent Pavement Markings Milepost 322.22 is located approximately 2 miles east of the SR 29 Slip Ramp Interchange, Exit 320, and Milepost 324.25 is located approximately 2 miles west of the Valley Forge Interchange, Exit 326, in Chester County. Cost Range: $1,000,000.00 - $5,000,000.00 An electronic bid bond, from an approved vendor, with corporate surety, in the amount of five (5%) percent of the bid must be submitted with the proposal as bid security. The bid security of the three (3) low bidders will be retained until the execution of the contract. (The normal time for execution of the contract is approximately four [4] weeks.) A Prequalification Certification and Applicable Capacity Rating assigned by the Prequalification Office of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is a necessary prerequisite for bidding on this project. The opening and listing of bids not meeting all the terms and conditions of the bid advertisement or bid procedures does not act as a waiver or modification of any requirements contained in the bid advertisement or bid procedure.
