The project scope includes milling, repairing, and overlaying existing asphalt surfaces to ensure proper drainage, smoothness, and durability. Scope of Work: Location 1: Lakewood Middle School, Salina, Kansas Location 2: Salina South High School, Salina, Kansas Alternates 1-5: Crack fill and seal various areas in same locations noted in exhibits The work includes, but is not limited to: 1. Milling - Removal of 2" of the existing asphalt surface. 2. Repairs - Addressing any subgrade issues or areas requiring patching. 3. Overlay - Applying a new 2" asphalt overlay to the entire area after preparation and repairs. 4. Alternate - Clean, crack fill, seal, and stripe 5 asphalt areas at same locations as base bid. work shall be done by experienced and qualified personnel, and the contractor is responsible for ensuring all areas are fully restored to the proper condition. Bid will be awarded to lowest responsible bidder. A bid bond in the amount of 5% of the bid must be submitted with each bid. Bids must remain valid for a minimum of 45 days from the date of bid opening. The successful bidder will be required to enter into a formal contract with USD 305. This project is subject to Kansas Statutes regarding competitive bidding, and all contractors must comply with the provisions of K.S.A. 72-6760 and K.S.A. 75-4315a.
