Vilas County Forestry Snowmobile Bridge Plum Creek - The project is funded by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources - Recreational Trails Program Funding. The project involves the removal of an existing timber structure snowmobile bridge crossing over Plum Creek in Vilas County. The project will replace the old timber structure with a new single span prefabricated bridge over Plum Creek between CTH C and Big St Germain Drive. The new structure is a 75- feet long x 12-feet wide steel recreational bridge including cast in place abutment and wing piles, timber pile caps, timber decking, timber approach and deck railings, unclassified excavation, approximately 195 feet of snowmobile trail enhancement, erosion mat, riprap, turbidity barrier, silt fence, and restoration of all disturbed areas. The Project includes the following Work: 1 L.S. Removing Old Structure 1 L.S. 75 ft x 12 ft Wide Clear Span Steel Truss Recreation Bridge 136 L.F. Timber Approach Railing 800 V.F. C.I.P. Piling Foundation System 50 S.Y. Turbidity Barriers 50 Ton Crushed Aggregate Base Course 150 C.Y. Granular Borrow 100 C.Y. Riprap Heavy 1 L.S. Turf Restoration The anticipated substantial completion date is December 1, 2025 and final completion date is December 15, 2025. No proposal will be accepted unless accompanied by a certified check or bid bond equal to at least 5% of the amount bid, payable to the Owner as a guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract and bond within 15 days after the award of the contract. The certified check or bid bond will be returned to the bidder as soon as the contract is signed, and if after 15 days the bidder shall fail to do so, the certified check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the Owner as liquidated damages. Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids.
