Renovation of a mixed-use development in Concord, New Hampshire. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
SERVICES TO BE PROVIDED: o Removal ofexisting caulking on all surface edges that have failed. Replacement with an exterior grade heavy duty caulking in the joints ofthe slab, which will not allow water to leak past the openings on the concretes slab. o Rebuild a small row ofbricks acting as a ledge ofthe affected slab. o The surface ofthe concrete has chipped and eroded away. These areas need to be restored and reshaped, to allow for proper surface draining. o The lower (4) doors underneath the upper slab, must be removed and replaced with new steel doors and frames on site. The contractor is expected to paint the exterior primed door at installation, matching the existing color ofthe exterior doors. o The contractor is expected to work with our IT team and cover in their cost, the disconnect ofthe card reader and door sensors and reconnect them to the new doors. Restore the new doors to the function of the previous ones. o Existing door handles are Von Duprin and may be repurposed on the new doors. We must assess when the work begins on the condition ofthese door handles and closures. o Finally, a proposed awning addition to the upper section can help lessen the amount ofsnow and ice that will build up on that area. An awning would be constructed of a wood structure mechanically fastened to the upper brick ofthe building. The surface ofthe awning should be constructed with 2X6 wood framing and % "exterior grade plywood. Standing seam metal roofing is the preferred material. All hardware and fasteners must be rated for weight and weather. o All other details will be addressed at the bid meeting. Proposals must include a schedule including the planned start date and completion date. (Monday, June 23, 2025- Friday, August 15, 2025) We ask that all interestedparties respond by email to Mary Wyatt at myatta_au8.org ifthey want to participate in the bidding process.
