Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Hagerman, Idaho. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
This bridge replacement will remove the existing single span bridge and replace it with a new single span prestressed concrete girder bridge with integral abutments on piles with an asphalt wearing surface. The new 76-foot long, 36-foot wide, single-span prestressed concrete girder bridge will be constructed. A 32-foot wide temporary shoo-fly approximately 60-feet north of the existing structure using two (2) 7-foot diameter culverts, a 10-foot diameter manhole, 3/4" aggregate/washed rock, and geotextile fabric will be constructed. The new bridge abutments will be supported by piles and an asphalt wearing surface as the driving surface. The roadway approaches to the bridge will be reconstructed approximately 205-feet on each side of the bridge to accommodate the wider structure. The new bridge will provide two lanes of traffic and standard shoulder widths. The project will also update the existing guardrails and install a retaining wall for the project.
