Site work and paving for a civil project in Dobson, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.

Construction of the Base Bid includes replacement/ relocation of approximately 2, 300 LF of 8" - 12" gravity sewer line, and related improvements. Additive Bid Item 1 is being received for relocation of approximately 220 LF of 6" water line. Under the Base Bid and Additive Bid Item 1, the Town will be providing the sewer line, manhole, and water line materials for installation. Additive Bid Item 2 is also being received for replacement of approximately 100 LF of 42" stormwater culverts and associated street repair. Prospective bidders arehereby notified that they must have proper license under the state laws governing their trade. General contractors are notified that Chapter 87, Article 1, General Statutes of North Carolina will be observed in receiving and awarding this contract. All Bidders are required to submit a 5% Bid Security with their bid. Upon award of contract, a separate performance bond and payment bond each in the amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract price will be required. Carriers must be authorized to do business in North Carolina. The Town of Dobson reserves the right to reject any or all proposals. Any bid received after the designated bid closingtime will be rejected and will not be opened. The Town reserves the right to reject any bid for failure to comply with all bidding requirements or of any of the Contract Documents; however, it may waive any minor defects or informalities at its discretion. The Town further reserves the right to reject any and all proposals or to award the Contract which in its judgment is in the best interest of the Town of Dobson.
