Site work and new construction of a civil project in Key West Nas, Florida. Completed plans call for the construction of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

This project consists of construction of a 5 million gallon (MG) ground storage tank, including tank influent and effluent piping, a passive mixing system, ladders, vents and other tank appurtenances, and a tank foundation which incorporates the uses of auger cast piles. In addition the project includes the construction of the transmission pump station which includes three vertical turbine can type pumps, along with an auxiliary power generator and fuel system. Piping connecting the pump station to the 5 MG ground storage tank and the potable water transmission main are included. The project is located at FKAAs future Crawl Key Reverse Osmosis Facility, approximately Mile Marker 56.5 in Marathon, Florida. Each proposal must be submitted on the prescribed form and accompanied by a copy of certified check or bid bond executed on the prescribed form, payable to the Florida Keys Aqueduct Authority, in an amount not less than 5 percent of the amount bid. A copy of the certified check must be attached to the bid proposal in e-builder. The Contract, if awarded, will be awarded to the responsive and responsible bidder submitting the lowest single lump sum price proposal. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish the necessary additional bond(s) for the faithful performance of the Contract, as prescribed in the Contract Documents. All bid bonds, contract bonds, insurance contracts, and certificates of insurance shall be either executed by or countersigned by a licensed resident agent of the surety or insurance company having his place of business in the State of Florida, and in all ways complying with the insurance laws of the State of Florida. Further, the said surety or insurance company shall be duly licensed and qualified to do business in the State of Florida. In order to perform public work, the successful Bidder shall hold or obtain such Contractors and Business Licenses as required by State Statutes. Before a Contract will be awarded for the work contemplated herein, the FKAA will conduct such investigation as is necessary to determine the performance record and ability of the apparent low bidder to perform the size and type of work specified under this Contract. Upon request, the Bidder shall submit such information as deemed necessary by the FKAA to evaluate the Bidders qualifications. The FKAA reserves the right to reject all Proposals where the FKAA deems rejection to be in its best interest, or to reject any Proposal not in compliance with the Contract Documents. The FKAA reserves the right to waive any informalities and irregularities in said Proposals.
