Fire Protection Equipment Storage Rooms Addition at Fire Station No. 1, 3, and 4 Reference Number 0000382605 Job Location 251 S Shoreline Blvd, Mountain View, CA 94041, 301 N Rengstorff Ave, Mountain View, CA 94043 and 229 N Whisman Rd, Mountain View, CA 94043 This project includes the exterior addition of a Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) storage room at Fire Station No. 1 and Fire Station No. 4. It also includes the conversion of a workshop room to a PPE storage room at Fire Station No. 3. The construction activities include concrete, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, trenching/backfilling, roofing, and other miscellaneous works for the construction of the Fire Stations' PPE storage rooms addition. Question Acceptance Deadline 04/29/2025 08:00 PM EDT Questions are submitted online Yes The estimated total cost of work for the three Fire Stations is between $850,000 and $950,000. Each proposal shall be accompanied by cash, cashier's or certified check, or by a bidder's bond, made payable to the City of Mountain View and executed as surety by some corporation authorized to issue surety bonds in the State of California, for an amount equal to at least ten percent (10%) of the amount of said bid, and no bid shall be considered unless such cash, cashier's or certified check, or bidder's bond is enclosed therewith. A bidder's bond will not be accepted unless it conforms to the bond form included in the "Contract Documents and Specifications" for the project and is properly filled out and executed. Blanks conforming to the above-mentioned form can be obtained by request from the Engineer. If desired, the bond form included in the "Contract Documents and Specifications" for the project, properly filled out as directed, may be executed and used as the bidder's bond. Bidders are to be licensed in accordance with the provisions of the "Contractors License Law," Chapter 9 of Division 3 of the State Business and Professions Code. In addition, at the time of submitting the bid, bidder must have one of the following classification(s) of contractor's license from the State of California: Class B, General Building Contractor License All proposals or bids must be sealed and addressed to the PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT of Mountain View and the envelope must be plainly endorsed as follows: FIRE PROTECTION EQUIPMENT STORAGE, PROJECT 24-32 Bids are invited on a lump-sum basis for the entire work. The City Council reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Inspection will be under the direction of the City of Mountain View. The Contractor may elect to receive one hundred percent (100%) of payment due under the contract from time to time, without retention of any portion of the payment by the City, by depositing securities of equivalent value with the City in accordance with the provisions of Section 22300 of the Public Contract Code. Such securities, if deposited by the Contractor, shall be valued by the City's Finance and Administrative Services Director, whose decision on valuation of the securities shall be final. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
