Renovation of a clubhouse / community center in Chesapeake, Ohio. Completed plans call for the renovation of a clubhouse / community center.
Window Replacement Project - Chesapeake Community Center. Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal, a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security amount shall be equal to 5% of the bid amount and, if furnished in IBond form, shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. A certified check, cashier's check or money order in the same amount is acceptable bid guaranty. Each Proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity. Prevailing Wage rates are required for this project. Contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, the Governor's Executive Order of 1972, and Governor's Executive Order 84-9 shall be required. All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project shall also comply with President Executive Order 11246, as amended, requiring Affirmative Action for Equal Employment Opportunity. All contractors are required to have a drug-free workplace program (a BWC program or comparable program) to bid on this project. Each bidder must ensure that all employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, handicap, familial status, national origin or ancestry. LCPA reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals; to waive any informalities in the bidding; and to enter into a contract with the bidder who in their consideration offered the lowest responsive and responsible bid. LCPA also reserves the right to hold all bids for 60 days. Question Deadline 04/25/2025 Every request for such interpretation shall be in writing via email to Jeremy Clay., Associate Executive Director of LEDC at jeremy@ledcorp.org. To be given consideration, request for such interpretation must be received at least five (5) days prior to the date fixed for the opening of bids. A. Demolition and Removal Carefully remove all existing windows and entrance doors from the designated areas. Windows have been tested and confirmed to be free of asbestos-containing materials. A copy of the asbestos inspection report is included for contractor reference. Properly dispose of all old window and door materials in compliance with local regulations and environmental standards. Inspect all window and door openings for structural damage and report any issues requiring repair before proceeding with installation. B. Window and Storefront Installation Supply and install new window and storefront systems with the following specifications: o Finish: Black o Storefront Framing: 2" x 4 1/2" thermal center set aluminum storefront framing for enhanced energy efficiency o Glass: 1 " clear insulated glass with Low-E (Low Emissivity) coating for improved thermal performance and UV protection o Grids: Windows shall include 5/8" black grids for visual uniformity and architectural appeal o Storefront Doors (2 Sets): Standard pairs of narrow-style aluminum entrance doors with concealed panic hardware, 10" bottom rails, 1/4" glass, and standard pull handles o Door Frames: FG3000 transom frames In each room located at the rear ofthe facility, one window shall be operable to allow for ventilation. The Gym Area will include five operable windows. Ensure all installed systems comply with local building codes and applicable safety requirements. Provide and install all necessary hardware and accessories, including locks, handles, weather stripping, and closers. Seal all windows and doors using industry-standard weatherproofing materials to ensure airtight and watertight installation.
