The proposed project consists of the rehabilitation of the Northampton Lift Station. The project includes wet well work, pump replacement, electrical work, pipe work, concrete, and other miscellaneous objectives. Bid Bond 5% DESCRIPTION OF WORK A. General The Work to be performed generally consists of furnishing labor, materials, equipment, and supervision as required by the Contract Documents for furnishing, installing, testing and placing into operation the Northampton Lift Station Improvements including related accessory equipment. The types of Work to be performed include but are not limited to the following: 1. Furnish and install (2) wastewater pumps in existing concrete wet well. 2. Furnish and install precast concrete flat top slab with access hatch on existing concrete wet well. 3. Furnish and install ductile iron discharge piping, fittings, valves in existing concrete valve vault. 4. Furnish and install precast concrete flat top slab with access hatch on existing concrete valve vault. 5. Furnish and install pump control panel and SCADA system within pump control panel enclosure. 6. Provide bypass pumping during construction. 7. Coordinate electric service. 8. Demolition of existing lift station equipment and pump control panel. 9. Furnish and install sidewalk and site/landscaping restoration. 1.02 LOCATION OF THE WORK The Northampton Lift Station Improvements work site is located on the west side of Northampton Lane between 207 and 208 Northampton Lane in the Village of Lincolnshire, Illinois.PHYSICAL CONDITIONS The site on which the lift station is located has limited access and boundary constraints, all of which the Contractor accepts full responsibility. Any staging area(s) required by the Contractor shall be the responsibility of the Contractor. 1.04 ACCESS TO JOB SITE Access to the project site is possible from Northampton Lane.
