Civil construction works related to surface, water, wastewater, and storm water infrastructure within the City of Kenora boundaries at the following locations: Ninth Street North from Mellick Avenue to Scramble Avenue: Surface, Water, Sanitary Sewer, Sanitary Force Main, and Storm Sewer works - approximately 210 metres; Mellick Avenue from 9th Street North to 10th Street North: Surface, Water, Sanitary Sewer, and Storm Sewer works - approximately 165 metres The Successful Tenderer shall commence the Work by May 1, 2025, and shall achieve substantial completion of the Work as defined in the contract by September 1, 2025. The Tenderer is required to submit with its Tender, a Consent of Surety and a Bid Bond in a form acceptable to the CITY, or in lieu of a Bid Bond, a Tenderer may submit, along with a Consent of Surety, a certified cheque or an irrevocable letter of credit in favour of the CITY equal to 10% of the Tender Sum as a guarantee that, if awarded the contract for the Work, the Tenderer will execute a contract and the Labour and Material Payment, and Performance Bonds referred to in Article 10 within the specified time frames. The Bonds are to be issued by a Surety Company licensed in the Province of Ontario and satisfactory to the CITY in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price for the Performance Bond and 50% of the contract price for the Labour and Materials Payment Bond. CITY reserves the right, in its sole and unfettered discretion, to reject or accept any Tender, including the right to reject all Tenders.
