Demolition, site work and addition to a museum in Florence, South Carolina. Completed plans call for the addition of a museum; for the demolition of a museum; and for site work for a museum.
Reference Number 0000381987 Florence County desires to obtain the services of a Construction Manager At Risk (CM-R) to provide construction management and the construction of the above referenced project. This project will expand the Florence County Museum. The CM-R firm will be asked to provide preconstruction services including, but not limited to; technical reviews, cost evaluation and reconciliation of cost estimates with the design team, value engineering options, constructability reviews with subcontractors/design team and schedule evaluation assistance for the design team during the design phase. A two-step procurement process will be followed. The process involves first the solicitation of Statements of Qualification as defined by AIA Document A305-2020 "Contractor's Qualification Statement" from interested candidates that are evaluated to identify those which, in the determination of the Selection Committee, best meet the established qualification requirements or could, after clarification be made acceptable. A minimum of two firms will be requested to respond to the Request for Proposal (RFP). The shortlisted firms will then be asked to respond to the RFP that will establish evaluation criteria based on qualifications.
