Renovation of an educational facility in Columbus, Ohio. Design plans call for the renovation of a 2,200-square-foot, one-story above grade educational facility.
The scope of work will include renovation to room 3036 of Graves Hall and will house wet lab space for the College of Medicine. The scope of work will include upgrades to the existing 2,200 SF room including mechanical, electrical, lighting, and plumbing. A tissue culture room and a microscope room will be built within the space. The remaining space will be built out with flexible lab casework with utilities, space for freezers, and space for a fume hood. Finish upgrades will include flooring replacement, painting, and ceiling replacement. Power and data upgrades will be included to accommodate casework installation (Owner provided, Owner installed). Graves Hall must remain operational with public access during all construction activities. As of May 5, 2026, this project has been placed on hold. A timeline for bidding and construction has not been established at this time; however, construction is not expected to begin prior to first quarter 2027.
