Completed plans call for the construction of a playground / park / athletic field; for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field; and for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.
** As of May 1,2025 , this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on May 6,2025.** Approximate Items of Work Are as Follows: New Pemb Pavillion, 25' X 65', 10'-0" Eave Height, Concrete Slab, Restroom (Men's & Women's), Electrical Service, Water Service, and New Septic System. Bidders Must Be Able to Provide a Current Certificate of General Liability Insurance, Vehicle Insurance, and Workman's Compensation Insurance. Bidder is Responsible for All License and Qualifications as Required for Building Permit in Margeret, Alabama. Margeret Building Permit Fees Will Be Waived. The Lowest Bidder Will Be Determined by Total Cost for Labor and Materials. The Owner Reserves the Right to Reject Any or All Bids, to Waive Any Informality in Any Bid, and to Accept Any Bid Advantageous to the Owner. No Bid May Be Withdrawn After the Time for Opening of Bids Has Passed. The Owner Reserves the Right to Hold the Bids for a Period of Sixty (60) Days After the Date of Receiving the Bids. All General Contractors and Subcontractors Performing Work on This Project Will Hold a City of Margeret Business License as Required by Law. Contractors, as Set Forth in Chapter 4 (Section 65 to 82, Inclusive) of Title 46 of the Code of Alabama for 1940, as Amended; and Bidders Shall Be Governed by Said Law Insofar as It is Applicable. The Above-mentioned Provisions of the Code Make It Illegal for the Owner to Consider a Bid From Anyone Who is Not Properly Licensed Under Such Code Provisions. The Owner, Therefore, Will Not Consider Any Bid Unless the Bidder Produces Evidence That He is So Licensed. Neither Will the Owner Enter a Contract With a Foreign Corporation, Which is Not Qualified Under State Law to Do Business in the State of Alabama.
