The City of Atlanta's Department of Procurement ("DOP") on behalf of the Atlanta Department of Watershed Management ("DWM"), is seeking qualified contractors to transform a vacant, overgrown eyesore into a thriving ecosystem that will serve as both critical infrastructure and an attractive natural community amenity, connecting to the surrounding neighborhood and eventually to the Westside Beltline. The project is designed to capture storm-water from a 150-acre drainage basin and divert it out of the combined sewer system, providing significant combined sewer capacity relief that will reduce flooding and sewer overflows in the English Avenue and Bankhead/Westin Heights neighborhoods. The constructed wetland vegetation will remove pollutants, improving water quality in downstream Proctor Creek, and the site will serve as a new community green space with walking paths, overlooks and signage. WORK DETAIL (SCOPE OF WORK) A. The work to be done under this contract is shown on the Drawings and includes, but is not necessarily limited to, the following: 1. Temporary and permanent erosion and sedimentation control. 2. Temporary dewatering and stream diversion. 3. Clearing and grubbing, including invasive species control. 4. Removal of existing storm structures, pavement, etc. 5. Furnishing and installing primary control structure, outlet control structure, two manholes, 72-inch RCP storm pipe, 48-inch RCP storm pipe. 6. Furnishing and installing segmental wall, plaza, vehicular and pedestrian paths. 7. Grading and stabilization within the floodplain. 8. Installing native plants. 9. Traffic control during construction. 10. All associated miscellaneous work, including site restoration and cleanup.
