Question Acceptance Deadline - 05-May-2025 12:00:00 PM EDT Scope of work requires the Vendor to provide engineering investigation services, lifecycle extension work, the installation of a new backup generator and asset replacement to complete the work required for the High Voltage Electrical Equipment Replacement Program. The Vendor will ensure that the equipment is manufactured, installed, and commissioned to the specifications and requirements of all authorities having jurisdiction. The works have been grouped into the two categories of fifteen (15) work packages described below. The work packages are to be performed at seven (7) different locations. Three (3) of the locations will require both category 1 and category 2 work. Two (2) of the locations will require only category 1 work, and two (2) locations will require only category 2 work. The Vendor should be capable of performing the work packages in parallel. The work packages contained within the HV Electrical Equipment Replacement Program are grouped into two (2) categories as follows: 1.1 Category 1-Scope of Work: Engineering Investigation and Lifecycle Extension. Engineering investigation of the lifecycle of the HV Electrical Equipment and overhaul works to extend the lifecycle to maintain reliability of asset and handover for following seven (7) work packages: Work Package 1: 125 Judson Street Lifecycle Extension Overhaul of the Main Sub-Station (transformers and switchgear on Mezzanine Roof), located at 125 Judson Street, Etobicoke. Work Package 2: Hamilton Layover Transformer Lifecycle Extension Overhaul, located at 124 Hunter Street, Hamilton. Work Package 3: Hamilton Layover Switchgear Lifecycle Extension Overhaul, located at 124 Hunter Street, Hamilton. Work Package 4: Shirley Layover Lifecycle Extension Overhaul to the High Voltage Bus Works, located at 200 Shirley Avenue, Kitchener. Work Package 5: Georgetown Station Layover, Transformer Lifecyle Extension Overhaul, located at 55 Queen Street, Georgetown. Work Package 6: Georgetown Station Layover, Switchgear Lifecyle Extension Overhaul, located at 55 Queen Street, Georgetown. Work Package 7: Bathurst North Yard - Switchgear Lifecyle Extension Overhaul, located at 595 Front Street West, Toronto. Category 1 Work Packages is expected to be completed within four months from the execution of the Contract. Category 2 - Scope of Work: Asset Replacement. Asset replacement works consists of supply and install of the assets, which includes securing manufacturing position in production queue and acting as Metrolinx-representative during manufacturing, installation, approvals, permits testing and commissioning, and handover to operations as per Metrolinx' Asset Information Handover Procedure CKH-ASMT-PRC-002 (including required documentation) for eight (8) work packages are: Work Package 8: 125 Judson Street Primary 27.6 kV Primary Circuit Breaker Installation, located at 125 Judson Street, Etobicoke Work Package 9: 125 Judson Street Main Sub-Station Replacement (on Mezzanine Roof), located at 125 Judson Street, Etobicoke Work Package 10: 125 Judson Street Bus Duct Replacement, located at 125 Judson Street, Etobicoke Work Package 11: Hamilton Layover Switchgear Replacement, located at 124 Hunter Street, Hamilton. Work Package 12: Shirley Layover, Replacement of transformers TX1, TX2 and Associated bus work located at 200 Shirley Ave, Kitchener Work Package 13: Richmond Hill Transformer (2) Replacement, located at 1701 Bethesda Sideroad, Richmond Hill. Work Package 14: Richmond Hill Back-up Power Generator Installation, located at 1701 Bethesda Sideroad. Richmond Hill Work Package 15: Lincolnville Layover Switchgear Replacement, located at 13190 York-Durham Line Regional Road 30, Stouffville The Project Delivery Team (PDT) requires the successful proponent to be assertive on behalf of Metrolinx in the marketplace in order to minimize lead times on the manufacturing of the replacement HV Electrical Equipment in Work Packages 8-15. Metrolinx reserves the right to reject any or all Submissions at its sole discretion.
