Project Description The Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) manages campgrounds at 76 State Parks, with over 8,970 campsites. The purpose of this project is to continue the ongoing campground improvements that began in 2015. ODNR aims to provide “full-service campsites,” including 50-amp electrical service, potable water, and sanitary sewer hookups at select campsites. The project also includes renovations and replacements of wash houses, restrooms, water/wastewater improvements, and other site enhancements (fire rings, picnic tables, paving). ODNR is seeking professional design services for the design and construction administration required for this project. Additionally, facility assessments and master planning efforts will be provided, working with Parks and Watercraft staff to identify facility needs such as change of use requirements, operating efficiencies, long-term maintenance/durability issues, and anticipated customer demands. Master plans and/or reconciliations will address the site utilization needs of various user groups, utility infrastructure needs versus constraints, and vehicular ingress/egress issues. They will also include recommended construction projects and appropriate phasing. The development of a Program of Requirements (POR) will be included as part of the Professional Design as an Additional Service. The project scope will be evaluated, prioritized, and defined to align with the project budget. Evaluation of the project construction schedule will also be part of the POR stage.
