Completed plans call for the addition of a 1,800-square-foot theater / auditorium; for the demolition of a theater / auditorium; for site work for a theater / auditorium; for the renovation of a theater / auditorium; warehouse / distribution facility; for the construction of a warehouse / distribution facility; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; theater / auditorium; theater / auditorium; warehouse / distribution facility; warehouse / distribution facility; warehouse / distribution facility; warehouse / distribution facility; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
Question Deadline 05/01/2025- No interpretation of the meaning of the plans,specifications or other pre-bid documents will be made to any Bidder orally. Every request for such interpretation should be in writing, addressed to Johnson & Pace Incorporated, 1201 NW Loop 281, Suite 100, Longview, TX 75604, and to be given consideration must be received at least five days prior to the date fixed for the opening of Proposals. The Work of Project is Defined by the Contract Documents and Generally Consists of the Following: 1. Remove Existing Exterior Concrete Stair From West Wall of the Texan Theater and Fill or Modify Associated Exterior Doors as Indicated. 2. Construct Two-story Building Addition of Wood Frame Construction (Reinforced at South End With Steel Frame) Generally Consisting of: A. Hydraulic Elevator (Machine Room-less) B. Concrete-filled, Steel Pan, Steel Stairs. C. Four Single-user Restrooms D. Storeroom E. Mechanical Space. 3. Extend Automatic Fire Sprinkler System and Alarm Systems From the Existing Building to Serve the New Addition, Including Necessary Coring / Cutting / Patch / and Repair. 4. Tie-in of Addition to Existing Building Weather Tight. 5. Provide Utility Connections, Sidewalks, Equipment Pads, Fence and Associated Site Work Indicated. 6. Addition Has a Footprint of Approximately 868 Square Feet and a Second Floor of About 640 Square Feet. Cladding is An Exterior Insulation & Finish System and Curtainwall Window Onto Kilgore Street. Rood is Tpo on Tapered Insulation. Project Includes, but is Not Limited to, Interior Finishes, Lighting, Plumbing, and Hvac. 7. This Contract Contains No Work on or in the Existing Texan Theater Except as Indicated and as Necessary to Install Work Indicated or Specified. For Example: Extension of Existing Fire Sprinklers and Fire Alarms and Other Work Necessary to Construct the Work Described in the Drawings and Specifications A CERTIFIED OR CASHIER'S CHECK, or an acceptable bid bond in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the base bid shall accompany each bid as a guaranty that, if awarded the contract, the bidder will promptly enter into contract with the City of Kilgore, Texas and furnish bonds on the forms provided. Liquidated Damages for Failure to Enter into Contract. The successful Bidder, upon his failure or refusal to execute and deliver the Contract and bonds required within 15 days after he has received notice of the acceptance of his Proposal, shall forfeit to the Owner, as liquidated damages for such failure or refusal, the security deposited with his Proposal. Time of Completion and Liquidated Damages. Bidder must agree to commence work within 10 days after the date to be specified in a written "Notice to Proceed" by the Owner and to fully complete the project within the time stated in the Proposal. The bidder must agree to pay, as liquidated damages, the sum of $540.00 for each consecutive calendar day thereafter as hereinafter provided for in the General Conditions The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality and to reject any or all bids
