Deer Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant Expansion A&E Reference Number 0000382709 Question Acceptance Deadline 04/21/2025 11:00 AM EDT Questions are submitted online Yes The Oklahoma City Water Utilities Trust (OCWUT) is evaluating all requirements to expand capacity at the Deer Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) from 15 million gallons per day (MGD) to 20 MGD. The Engineer will provide all preliminary engineering services required to develop an expansion plan for the Deer Creek WWTP. Final design, bidding, construction administration and management, inspection, and as-built services may be completed under a future amendment OCWUT funds, operates, and maintains the Deer Creek WWTP to provide wastewater services to its citizens and wholes ale customers. The Deer Creek WWTP is an activated sludge treatment plant located in the northwest part of Oklahoma City. This study will determine all requirements associated with expanding the Deer Creek WWTP from 15 MGD to 20 MGD. Preliminary design services will be completed for the Deer Creek WWTP expansion and will recommend a final phasing plan approach for the improvements. The Deer Creek WWTP was constructed in 1982 and is rated to treat 15 MGD. The plant underwent upgrades in 1996, 2011, 2014, and 2024. The facility treats wastewater from the Deer Creek sewershed using a combination of automatic bar screening, grit removal, primary clarification, bio-selector (abandoned in place), secondary activated sludge treatment, secondary clarification, floc carry-over, sand filtration, chlorine disinfection, and chlorine removal using sulfur dioxide. The solids treatment process consists of primary and secondary activated sludge. Sludge dewatering is accomplished by belt press operation. All sludge is stabilized with lime to Class B designation prior to land application. This project will include the ability to process sludge from the Chisholm Creek WWTP.
