Description of Work: Line Striping & Lettering Contractor to perform striping of traffic lines on public roadways within the Township of Middletown inaccordance with the standards of the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices for Streets and Highways(2009 edition) and all federal, state, county, and local traffic standards and according to the attached details and quantities. Any conflict between the MUTCD, the attached details, and any other standard document are to be brought to the attention of the Township Engineer. The contractor will maintain the 2011 Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices for Streets and Highways as the controlling document unless specifically directed otherwise by the Township Engineer. All striping is to be performed by a licensed and insured contractor using a spray application device. Work is to be performed on public streets in a safe manner adhering to all AASHTO, FTA, USDOT, and NJDOT traffic safety control standards. Safety Vests are to be worn at all times by all workers. Painting operations and associated traffic control are to take place during daylight hours only and under dry weather conditions.
