Funded by general operating funds, the project will enhance the 0.61-square foot Morgan Family Park located at 100 North Lamar by contextualizing the history of the site (as Fire Station Number 1) with the modern park space. This public art display will promote outdoor activities while fostering social connections and supporting local culture. In partnership with a bevy of talent local artists, the City of Oxford is committed to promoting cultural awareness of the arts, history, and literature through this initiative. To complement this transformative public art project, the City of Oxford is also seeking a permanent sculptural representation of to integrate public art that reflects the aspirations and values of our community.
