State of Washington Department of Ecology, Toxics Clean up Program. Ecology inviting qualified contraction contractors to submit their bids for construction services. Services will be in accordance with the Model Toxics Control Act (MTCA) and will include removing vegetation and removing surface debris at the closed Marsha 11 Landfill (Ecology Clean up Site Identification CSID Number 1022) to reduce fire potential at the site. The Work includes: sampling, profiling, and disposing of potentially contaminated surface debris (partially-filled 55-gallon drams, electrical shed and electrical panel, 5-gaIlon buckets, demolition waste): disposal of non-contaminated surface debris (empty 55-gallon drums, empty poly-tank., demolition waste, exposed and partially covered tires with and without wheels, hydraulic ram); vegetation management, including mowing grass/weeds and removing trees and vegetation; and installing site access control improvements. The Marshall Landfill site is located approximately seven miles southwest of Spokane and. one mile southwest of the town of Marshall. The solicitation process will include an informational meeting and site walkthrough that provides interested firms an opportunity to ask questions.
