Description of work: The work consists of constructing a parking lot directly to the east of the new Courthouse Building (bounded by Vine Street, 5th Street,Main Street, and 6th Street). All proposals shall be accompanied by either a bid bond on the"Proposal Bid Bond" form contained in the proposal, executed by a corporate surety company satisfactory to Johnson County, or a bank cashier's check, an irrevocable letter of credit or a properly certified check payable to the County Treasurer of Johnson County, Illinois, for not less than 5 percent (5%) of the amount bid, or for the amount listed in the specifications. Johnson County, Illinois reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and towaive technicalities, and reserves the right to determine the qualifications of any and all contractors to perform the work required under this contract.
