Mcingvale Road and Green T Road East Travel Circle Project 2025 In the event the bids should run over $75,000.00, the bidder shall comply with the Mississippi State law with respect to having a Certificate of Responsibility issued by the Mississippi State Board of Public Contractors along with a Contractor's Privilege License issued by the Mississippi State Tax Commission. All bids submitted must be sealed in an envelope, clearly labeling the date the bid is to be opened, the work bid upon, the Contractor's Privilege License and Certificate of Responsibility numbers. A bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid price made payable to the City of Hernando is required for the project. In accordance with the proper section of the Mississippi Code, upon being awarded a contract for the construction of this project, the successful bidder will be required to furnish the amount of not less than 100% of the Contract Amount to ensure the completion of the project and the payment of all bills for labor, materials, and services required, therefore. If the bid awarded is less than $25,000.00, the successful bidder may choose to accept a lump sum payment on the completion of the contract. In such case the Performance Bond will not be required, but the Payment Bond will be required in any event. The City of Hernando reserves the right to accept, or reject, any or all bids and waive any informalities submitted.
