Joliet, IL The existing SAO Recovery Home - Renovation Project at 311 Lime Street, Joliet, IL, is +3,500 square foot in size on three (3) levels. Various areas of the existing home need renovation and a limited description is indicated below. See the drawings for full descriptions of the work included. Demolition: o Existing flooring shall be removed and surfaces prepped for new flooring. o Existing kitchen and bathroom cabinetry and counters to be removed. o Existing plumbing fixtures to be removed. o Existing kitchen appliances need to be removed. o Various areas of existing gypsum board need to be removed. o Remove an existing acoustic ceiling and grid system in one room. o Existing windows need to be removed on both the house and garage. o Existing siding and trim to be removed on both the house and garage. o Remove all existing outlets, switches and cover plates. o Remove existing noted lighting fixtures. Construction: o A unit cost allowance chart has been provided for various fixtures and appliances for the project (please see page A1 in included drawings). o New flooring shall be provided in all noted areas. o Provide new resinous coating in the basement bathroom. o Provide and install new kitchen and bathroom cabinetry and counters. o Provide and install new plumbing fixtures to be removed. o Provide and install new kitchen appliances. o Provide and install a new acoustic ceiling and grid system in one room. o Provide and install new windows on both the house and garage. o Provide and install new siding and trim on both the house and garage. o Install all existing outlets, switches and cover plates. o Provide and install new noted lighting fixtures. Above is a general scope summary for the project. Contractors should review the drawings for full descriptions of the work included. The Scope of work is defined within the Project Plans 2407-04. Contractor(s) shall provide a complete project with all required installations and connections for all items and devices. General Contractor shall include in the bid a ten-thousand-dollar ($10,000.00) allowance as noted and described in the documents.
