Mechanical work will consist of replacing the remaining steam heating boiler and systems with a series of condensing and non-condensing boilers, adding electric heating units in some areas, control work involving the building heating systems, minor HVAC improvements to second floor, and integration into the condensing boiler system that was installed over the winter. General work is considered incidental to the Mechanical work and is to be coordinated with the Mechanical contractor for the requirements thereto. Electrical work is considered incidental to the Mechanical work and is to be coordinated with the Mechanical contractor for the requirements thereto. A pre-bid walk-through meeting will be in Addendum 1. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities and to accept or reject any or all Bids. Each Bid must be accompanied by a separate envelope containing a Bidder's Bond in a sum equal to five percent of the full amount of the Bid, executed by the Bidder as Principal and by a Surety Company authorized to do business in this State, conditioned that if the Principal's Bid be accepted and the Contract awarded to the Principal, the Principal, within ten days after notice of award, will execute and effect a Contract in accordance with the terms of the Principal's Bid and a Contractor's Bond as required by law and the regulations and determinations of the governing board. All Bidders must be licensed for the highest amount of their Bid, as provided by Section 43-07-12 of the ND Century Code. No Bid will be read or considered which does not fully comply with the above provisions as to Bond and Licenses, and any deficient Bid submitted will be resealed and returned to the Bidder immediately. No Bidder may withdraw his Bid within 30 days after the actual opening of Bids.
