Sealed bids for the project entitled Raccoon Creek Bike Park will be received by Haywood County Description: The project is located at 115 Rowdy Road, Waynesville, North Carolina 28786. The site location is adjacent to the Francis Farm Landfill located at 176 Farmview Road, Waynesville, North Carolina 28786. The intent of the project is to construct the remaining amenities for the future Raccoon Creek Bike Park. Phase 1 of the project has concluded and involved major grading of the site, construction of the bike pump track, construction of the entrance road (Rowdy Road) and adjacent sidewalk, and stormwater infrastructure. The scope of work for Phase 2 generally includes construction of a picnic pavilion building with restrooms, minor grading, asphalt paving, sidewalks, additional stormwater infrastructure, and underground utilities. Utilities will include installation of a water line and water main extension, septic grinder pump, force-main, and electrical connections. Completion of work is expected within 210 days of Notice to Proceed.
