Bids for remediation of sewage, mold and blood borne pathogens at all CHA developments. Question Deadline 04/24/2025 at 10:00 AM ET Interested parties are invited to a Q&A session at 6 Stonina Drive, Chicopee All requests for clarification of this IFB by a Bidder must be submitted in writing to Juan Hernandez at ihernandez@chicopeehousing.org. Bids are subject to M.G.L. c.30B. Qualified minority and women contractors are urged to respond. 3.1 There is no guaranteed amount of work under this contract. The CHA shall contact the firm awarded this contract (Contractor) at its discretion on an "as needed" basis. 3.2 Contractor agrees that all work provided under this contract shall be performed by licensed and trained personnel who are qualified to do the work and possess a current MA license. All work must meet or exceed all state and federal regulations. 3.3 In the event the CHA becomes dissatisfied with the performance of any of the Contractor's employees, the Contractor agrees to assign substitute personnel upon CHA request. 3.4 The Contractor must respond to a CHA service request within one (1 ) hour and be able to mobilize on site within four (4) hours. The CHA may make a service request 24/7, 365 days a year. Other, less restrictive time frames, at the CHA's discretion, may be acceptable for non-emergency requests. Contractors bidding on this service contract shall provide their hourly rate on the bid form provided. Hourly bid prices must be all inclusive and reflect OH&P, taxes, insurance, travel, and other costs. The sum total of the hourly bid prices shall be the contractor's bid price. One contract for remediation services shall be awarded to the responsible and responsive lowest aggregate bidder. The hourly rates shall remain fixed during the entire contract term. The Bidder warrants that its services/products (as applicable) will perform in good and workmanlike manner. The Bidder shall repair or replace, at its own expense, any work, or product(s) not in compliance with this warranty brought to its attention within 30 days of the date of service or product delivery. The contractor must provide all materials and tools necessary to perform the work. The following is a general outline of the scope of services for this contract. The CHA reserves the right to alter the scope of work as it deems appropriate. There may also be an overlap of services with other CHA service contracts where the CHA determines the work shall be performed by another vendor. This is at the sole discretion of the CHA. Black water cleanup: o Building backups and overflows are a common occurrence at CHA developments. CHA staff or an outside vendor will typically clear the waste pipe blockage. The remediation company awarded this contract shall be called in to cleanup and sanitize any residual sewage. This may be required within the apartment, within basements or crawlspaces and occasionally on the development grounds. Sewage clean-up and disposal must meet all local, state, and federal regulations. Mold remediation: o The Contractor shall be called for mold clean up in occupied apartments, typically in bathroom areas. However, mold remediation may be requested for any location at a CHA development. o Mold remediation must meet all local, state, and federal regulations Blood borne pathogens: o The Contractor shall be called for cleanup and removal of blood borne pathogens and soiled materials in the event of a death on CHA property. o Remediated areas must be properly sanitized to meet all local, state, and federal regulations.
