Buckeye Trail Association Seeking Bridge Construction Proposals The Buckeye Trail Association is seeking competitive bids for the construction of four bridges, with two alternatives, in Southeast Ohio for the construction of the 100-Mile Backpacking Destination connecting Burr Oak State Park and Wildcat Hollow to the Hocking Hills region. The construction of these bridges will help establish the largest backpacking destination in Ohio, which will create key economic growth opportunities and eco-tourism opportunities in the region. The Buckeye Trail Association is an organization reflective of the diversity of the trail. Working in close partnership with communities, organizations and agencies around the state of Ohio, the volunteers and staff of the Buckeye Trail Association administer overall coordination, management and support for a sustainable world class hiking trail that provides a safe and unique experience connecting Ohio's diverse resources, people, places and history; creating a legacy for present and future generations to marvel and enjoy.
