The proposed work is officially known as the Sanitary Sewer Lining Replacement Project, and further described as cured in place sewer lining, epoxy sanitary manhole lining, lateral service connection reinstatement, structure adjustments, structure reconstructions, frame and lid removal and replacement, sewer televising, and all collateral work necessary to complete the work as further described in the contract documents for the said work prepared by Christopher B. Burke Engineering, Ltd. (CBBEL). Est. Completion Date: Nov. 30, 2025 Pre-Qualification: Yes TOTAL PROJECT PERIOD COST $ 3,200,000 Pre-Bid Meeting Info: N/A a. CONTRACTOR shall repair defective sewer segments without excavation using cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) as specified herein and where shown on the Plans. b. A thin, dry felt tube (pre-liner) shall be installed prior to CIPP installation, due to mitigate potential resin curing issues due to extensive infiltration at locations throughout the project. c. The reconstruction will be accomplished using CIPP which shall consist of a resin-impregnated flexible tube that is inverted into an existing sewer pipe through existing manholes and expanded to fit tightly against the existing pipe by the use of water. The resin is cured by circulating hot water/steam within the tube. When the thermosetting resin cures, the finish pipe will be continuous and tight fitting, and the total wall thickness shall be a homogeneous and monolithic felt and resin composite matrix that is chemically resistant to withstand internal exposure to domestic sewage. Once the tube/resin composite is cured, the inversion bladder and the carrying device are removed. All bid proposals must be accompanied by a bid bond, certified check, or bank cashier's check payable to the City of Northlake for ten (10) percent of the amount of the bid as provided in the General Provisions. No proposals or bids will be considered unless accompanied by such bond, or check. The successful BIDDER for the construction of the improvements will be required to enter into Performance and Labor and Material Payment bonds equal to 100% of the amount of the bid with sureties to be approved by the Mayor and City Council, when entering into the contract for the work, which shall be conditioned upon the proper and faithful performance by the CONTRACTOR of the work specified in accordance with the contract documents therefore, and the ordinances providing for the work.
